Job summary

3M seeks a Director, 3rd Party Materials - Global Procurement to lead global category strategy for packaging materials and related supply markets across the Americas.

You will partner with R&D, Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing to embed procurement early in NPI, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost, quality, and supply continuity while advancing sustainability and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified).
• 10 years of Sourcing, Procurement, Logistics, or related experience.
• 5 years of leadership or people management experience.
• Master's degree in Sourcing/Procurement/Logistics/Engineering or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead global procurement strategy for six material categories across Americas.
• Partner with R&D, Design, Engineering and Marketing to influence material selection and costs.
• Develop global supplier roadmaps and manage supplier performance, including reviews and improvement plans.
• Drive cost reductions, quality improvements, supply continuity and risk mitigation.
• Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team across regions and portfolios.
