Job summary

Connect Search, LLC is partnering with a leading global private investment firm in Chicago to hire an Accounting Associate for its management company finance team. You will support month-end close, prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheets, and assist with management reporting across domestic and international entities.

Strong detail orientation and communication are essential, with CPA progress a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience.
• CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close and journal entries.
• Asset management or private equity exposure is helpful, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail, organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and quarter-end close processes
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepaids and intercompany activity
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger accounting
• Assist with management reporting, variance analysis and financial statements
• Support accounting across multiple domestic and international entities
• Help maintain internal controls, accounting policies and procedures
• Partner with auditors and internal stakeholders on reporting and special projects
