Job summary

Intuitive seeks a Senior Director of Privacy & Data Protection to lead global privacy obligations across AI and data assets. The role directs legal strategy, advises executives, mentors the privacy team, and coordinates with engineering, HR, IT, and product security to safeguard personal data.

You will manage internal and external counsel, drive readiness for new laws, assess data licensing opportunities, and shape a cost-effective, risk-based program aligned with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Counsel managers, contributors, business units and executives on privacy matters.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the privacy program.
• Protect personal information using appropriate legal and risk frameworks.
• Advise on privacy risks and opportunities impacting business goals with a risk-based approach.
• Advise executives on value of data assets for licensing or purchase.
• Advise on privacy laws including AI.
• Analyze emerging privacy laws.
• Lead readiness and implementation for new laws.
• Advise on enforcement activities likely to impact the company.
• Support privacy breach investigations, remediations and regulator inquiries.
• Draft and negotiate data use, data licensing, data sharing, M&A and general matters.
• Manage, mentor and train junior legal team members.
• Lead cross-functional legal projects and initiatives.
• Identify strategic opportunities to improve the data protection posture.
• Allocate legal resources cost-effectively for Intuitive.
