Job summary
Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a senior engineer and program manager to lead the global power reliability program for AWS data centers. You will specify high and medium voltage system requirements and coordinate interconnections with utilities and internal teams worldwide.
The role requires a strong electrical engineering background with hands-on program management experience and a track record of delivering complex, cross-functional projects. Location: Seattle, WA.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field (preferably Electrical).
- 3-5 years in designing high and/or medium voltage power systems.
- 2-4 years in program or project management.
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive business and reporting to senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Own global power reliability program management.
- Specify requirements for high/medium voltage systems for AWS data centers.
- Coordinate interconnection of data centers to the electric grid with utilities and AWS teams globally.
- Collaborate with utilities/design firms on innovative solutions for AWS needs.
- Support development and execution of energy and utilities strategy for AWS data centers.
- Drive process improvements to streamline strategic initiatives and technology delivery.
- Develop metrics and KPIs/SLAs to drive high-impact decisions and leadership reporting.
