Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead teams responsible for designing and deploying scalable electrical infrastructure for data centers. You will oversee product development, collaborate with global suppliers, and drive reliability improvements across multiple regions.

The role requires strong leadership, deep electrical expertise, and the ability to deliver under challenging timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years in data center design and product development/electrical.
• 5+ years managing teams of 40+ associates with a proven track record of success and growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead innovative, high-performance teams of technical associates under challenging timelines.
• Demonstrate strong engineering judgment and ability to provide recommendations despite uncertainty.
• Apply data-driven and detail-oriented approaches to problem-solving.
• Utilize extensive experience and knowledge in electrical engineering and product development.
• Collaborate with global electrical equipment suppliers and manufacturers on new technology development and initiatives.
• Build trust and develop relationships with different stakeholders (e.g., reliability, operations, design, compliance).
• Manage concurrent projects across multiple geographic zones.
• Communicate complex systems in clear and concise language.
• Support operations including failure mode and root cause analysis, maintenance and troubleshooting support, and operating procedure review for electrical issues.
• Incorporate customer feedback to improve product reliability and availability.
• Contribute to our global knowledge base and drive continuous improvement at scale.

Education

Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field
