Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Seattle is seeking a seasoned program manager to lead a global power reliability initiative for AWS data centers. You will coordinate across utilities, design firms, and AWS engineering teams to ensure reliable high and medium voltage infrastructure and interconnections.

The role requires a strong electrical engineering background with 5+ years in program management and 3+ years in power systems design, plus a strategic mindset for metrics and leadership reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program management or technical project management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience designing high and/or medium voltage power systems.

Responsibilities

• Own program management for the global power reliability program.
• Specify requirements for high and medium voltage systems that supply AWS data centers.
• Manage technical elements of the interconnection of AWS data centers to the electric grid by working with utilities and local AWS operations and engineering teams across the globe.
• Work with engineering teams at utilities and design firms to put forth innovative solutions to meet AWS requirements.
• Support the development and execution of a comprehensive energy and utilities strategy for AWS data centers.
• Drive process improvement to streamline execution of strategic initiatives and technology solutions.
• Lead the development of metrics to ensure the most impactful delivery goals are formulated to meet program goals, including defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive high impact business decisions and reporting to senior leadership.
