Job summary

HDR is seeking an experienced Global Project Development Lead to join our Power Generation practice. You will lead the development and delivery of thermal and renewable power projects, manage cross-disciplinary teams, and drive business development with clients and partners.

Strong leadership, communication, and EPC experience are essential. You will work with a cadre of engineers and project professionals to advance opportunities from pre-positioning through project completion, shaping strategy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one is required.
• 10+ years of related experience in power generation projects.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
• Experience with EPC project delivery and owner/end-user environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain capability to provide project development services for Power Generation and Renewables.
• Assist clients with delivery method selections (EPC, design/bid/build, fixed price/open book).
• Coordinate technical procurement and contracting of long-lead equipment.
• Build proactive client relationships across project teams and leadership.
• Achieve project schedule, quality, and profitability goals.
• Lead proposal development and risk assessment for services offered.
• Provide regular communications within the project team and client, aligning deliverables.
• Mentor project team staff and lead strategic development initiatives.
• Support transitions from development to EPC phases as needed.
• Provide senior leadership across development, delivery, and technical strategy.
