Diligent in Washington, DC, seeks a Senior Manager, Platform Engineering to lead the global platform team responsible for Atlassian and Microsoft environments. You’ll shape architectural direction and ensure secure, scalable experiences for employees worldwide through automation and modern service management.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading technical teams in internal IT or platform engineering.
• Hands-on ownership of Atlassian Cloud at enterprise scale (Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence).
• Strong governance of Microsoft 365 E5 (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, Intune, Defender).
• Ability to set architecture direction across identity and cloud tech (SSO, AD, Entra ID, AWS).
• Proven ITIL-aligned service management, automation and self-service improvements.
• Understanding of identity governance, least privilege and audit requirements.
• Track record of developing engineers and communicating decisions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and grow a global platform engineering team.
• Own strategy, architecture, governance and roadmap for Atlassian Cloud.
• Set direction for Microsoft 365 E5 estate (Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
• Design scalable integration patterns using APIs, Okta and automation tooling.
• Improve self-service and reduce ticket volume in partnership with IT Support.
• Establish security, governance, reliability and business continuity standards.
