Job summary

HappyRobot is seeking a People Operations Specialist to serve as the backbone of our people function. You will own onboarding end-to-end, run benefits and leave administration across every country we operate in, and manage the day-to-day relationship with our PEO and EOR partners in the US, Spain, UK, EMEA, and LATAM.

This hands-on role rewards clean data, closed loops, and automation of repetitive tasks. You’ll keep Rippling accurate and help shape engagement initiatives as the function matures.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in HR, People Operations, or a generalist People role.
• Hands-on HRIS experience (Rippling preferred) and quick learners.
• Breadth across onboarding, benefits, payroll, compliance, and employee support.
• Comfort with international HR complexity across multiple countries.
• Strong vendor and stakeholder coordination (PEOs, EORs).
• Automation mindset: using AI tools to streamline tasks.
• High ownership, precision, low ego in data-driven work.

Responsibilities

• Be the go-to for employee questions on benefits, payroll, policies, and leave.
• Own onboarding from offer to first day, including background checks and access coordination.
• Run benefits and leave administration across countries we operate in.
• Manage day-to-day coordination with PEOs and EORs in US, Spain, UK, EMEA, LATAM.
• Keep HRIS clean and current in Rippling for all employee records.
• Help build people programs, engagement initiatives, and policy updates.
• Automate repetitive work using AI tools and workflows.
