Job summary

Ampcus Inc is seeking a highly experienced Payroll Tax Manager in Greenville, SC to lead payroll tax activities across multiple jurisdictions. You will collaborate with the Global Payroll Director, support mergers and acquisitions, generate reports, and ensure timely tax filings and data integrity.

The role requires deep payroll tax knowledge, experience with large multinational entities, and proficiency in SAP Financials, ADP GlobalView, Ceridian DayForce, and SuccessFactors HR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years payroll tax, auditing, or related experience.
• 7 years using payroll systems to create, analyze and troubleshoot data.
• Experience with SAP Financials, ADP GlobalView, Ceridian DayForce, and SuccessFactors HR preferred.
• CPP and MST are preferred certifications; payroll M&A experience is a plus.
• Advanced Excel proficiency; strong analytical and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Understand end-to-end payroll processes and local/state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Subject Matter Expert for Payroll Tax, State Unemployment, Workers Comp., and Escheatment.
• Oversee payroll tax support for 25 federal entities, 250 states, and 75 local jurisdictions.
• Coordinate with Corporate Accounting to resolve payroll tax and G/L reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with audits, internal controls, and company policies with documentation.
• Define reporting needs with internal stakeholders and troubleshoot data issues.
• Produce multi-jurisdictional payroll tax reports and identify improvements.
• Review W-2 filings and wage type mappings; stay current with tax changes.
• Partner with Treasury for payroll funding and escheatment activities.
• Manage new tax registrations for acquisitions or mergers; ensure data integrity.
• Maintain confidentiality and data privacy for all payroll records.
