Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Manager, Payroll Tax and Accounting in the Greenville, SC area to oversee payroll accounting activities within the Payroll Operations Team, including mergers and acquisitions. You will reconcile payroll data, support audits, and drive process improvements to ensure timely and accurate reporting across the enterprise.

The role partners with the Managed Services provider for payroll tax data, creates standard and ad-hoc reports, and ensures compliance with tax

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline preferred.
• Minimum 5 years payroll accounting, auditing and/or related experience in a large ($1B+), multi-national, multi-legal entity corporation
• 3+ years utilizing payroll systems to create, analyze and troubleshoot data
• Familiarity with SAP Financials, ADP GlobalView, and SuccessFactors HR preferred.
• Payroll M&A Experience (G/L Integration; Payroll Tax Set-Up and Reconciliation)
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) Preferred
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Exceptional time management and ability to prioritize and multitask
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Understand end-to-end payroll process and regulatory requirements
• Maintain confidentiality and data security

Responsibilities

• Act as Subject Matter Expert for Payroll Tax, G/L, Workers’ Comp, and Escheatment
• Perform payroll tax and G/L reconciliations timely and accurately
• Oversee Tax Support and Administration with Managed Services provider to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Provide documentation for audits and maintain internal controls
• Define reporting needs with internal stakeholders and resolve data issues
• Generate payroll-related reports for enterprise and business groups
• Produce multijurisdictional monthly, quarterly, or annual reporting; monitor regulatory changes
• Collaborate with Treasury on payroll funding and escheatment
• Ensure accurate G/L integration of Payroll for acquisitions or mergers
• Provide excellent customer service to Functional Leads, Vendors and Customers
• Maintain confidentiality, data privacy, and SOX compliance
• Handle special projects as needed
