Job summary

Remote People is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our global payroll team. You will support accurate and timely payroll delivery across multiple countries, handling processing, validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution.

You don’t need to master every country we support, but should manage payroll for at least one country and learn new requirements quickly. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and payroll partners to review results, investigate discrepancies, and

Qualifications

• Hands-on payroll experience, including in-house processing.
• Experience managing payroll for at least one country independently.
• Strong understanding of payroll inputs, calculations, validations, and outputs.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies and understand payroll changes.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end payroll processing for multiple countries.
• Collect, review, and validate payroll inputs and outputs.
• Perform payroll reconciliations and identify discrepancies.
• Investigate payroll differences with internal teams or partners to resolve them.
• Support changes including new hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, deductions, and leave.
• Review payroll calculations and supporting information for accuracy.
• Communicate with internal payroll teams and external partners to resolve questions.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and trackers.
• Work with payroll tech and validation tools to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Learn and support additional countries as global payroll grows.
