Job summary

Chainalysis seeks a hands-on Manager, Global Payroll to lead and continuously improve US payroll and global EOR operations. You will personally participate in payroll processing, reconciliations, and controls while guiding Payroll Specialists.

You’ll manage payroll platforms (ADP, Workday, Deel, Bswift, Fidelity) and coordinate with HRIS, benefits, equity, and timekeeping teams to resolve issues and strengthen compliance. Strong leadership and AI-savvy approach are valued.

Qualifications

• Five or more years leading payroll operations with US payroll ownership.
• Experience coaching and developing Payroll Specialists.
• Hands-on processing of US payroll and related reconciliations.
• Experience with global EOR or multi-country payroll operations.
• Knowledge of US payroll tax, filings, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll operations across countries, platforms, and providers.
• Own payroll calendars, cutoffs, funding, processing timelines, and escalations.
• Process or review regular and off-cycle payrolls and new-hire events.
• Review data feeds from HRIS, benefits, retirement, and timekeeping; resolve exceptions.
• Coordinate tax administration, filings, payments, and reconciliations.
• Manage relationships with payroll, EOR, tax, and other providers.
• Review results, deliverables, funding needs, and invoices per Finance controls.
• Investigate discrepancies and mitigate risks; lead improving actions.
• Direct Payroll Specialists through goal setting and development.
• Partner with People, Equity, Controllership, Finance, and senior stakeholders.
• Build scalable practices via documentation, cross-training, and tech usage.
