Job summary

SPX Corporation in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee accurate and timely payroll processing for US, Canada, Mexico and South Africa.

You will lead a payroll team, ensure tax compliance, manage vendor relationships, and audit data integrity while delivering a high-quality employee experience.

The role requires deep payroll expertise, strong leadership, and collaboration with HR, HRIS and Finance to drive process improvements and stay current with evolving regulations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of payroll and payroll tax administration experience
• Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and employment standards
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to handle confidential information

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for US, Canadian, Mexican and South African employees.
• Review timekeeping records, deductions, and data to ensure accurate calculations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and provincial regulations, including tax withholding and garnishments.
• Manage payroll taxes and resolve notices; set up new tax accounts as needed.
• Perform periodic audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance with controls.
