Job summary

Black Duck seeks a Senior Manager, Global Payroll to lead and strengthen its worldwide payroll function across multiple entities. You will oversee payroll execution, controls, vendor coordination, and audit readiness while partnering with Finance, HR, Legal, Tax, Treasury, and external providers.

You will bring 8+ years of payroll experience, including multi-state US and international operations, with at least 3 years in leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive payroll experience including multi-state U.S. and international payroll.
• At least 3 years of payroll leadership experience.
• Experience with multi-entity environments using outsourced providers or EOR partners.
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax, deductions, and payroll accounting.
• Audit-ready controls, documentation, and process improvement experience.
• CPP designation preferred.
• Experience in SaaS/tech or PE-backed environments preferred.
• Experience with major payroll systems (ADP/Workday/NetSuite) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage global payroll operations to ensure accurate, timely payments per local requirements.
• Oversee inputs, validations, approvals, funding, reconciliations, and post-payroll reporting.
• Support payroll processing for wages, bonuses, commissions, and equity-related items.
• Maintain payroll controls, documentation, and audit-ready support with cross-functional partners.
• Coordinate with providers, EOR partners, and benefits administrators.
• Lead payroll team development and establish operating rhythms and accountability.
