Job summary

J.S. Held LLC is seeking a Global Payroll Senior Manager to lead payroll operations across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy and compliance. You will partner with HR, Finance, Legal, IT, and external vendors, drive transformation, and optimize payroll systems for scalable growth.

You will oversee a distributed payroll team, manage regulatory changes, and improve the employee payroll experience in a fast‑growing advisory environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience across U.S. and international jurisdictions.
• Experience leading global payroll transformation, process improvement, system implementations, or migrations.
• Strong understanding of payroll tax, wage and hour, compliance, and reporting requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, finance, accounting, or related field.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional partnerships across HR, Finance, Legal, Tax, IT, and vendors.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, project management, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead global payroll operations across multiple countries, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll.
• Develop and maintain scalable payroll policies, controls, and SOPs across jurisdictions.
• Oversee audits, reconciliations, reporting, and issue resolution for data accuracy.
• Drive payroll transformation initiatives, vendor evaluations, and system implementations.
• Support M&A payroll integration and smooth transitions for new joiners.
