Job summary

Reformation is seeking an experienced Director of Payroll to design and lead our global payroll strategy for US and international operations, based in LA or NYC with a hybrid schedule. You will govern time and attendance, SOX controls, and payroll governance across multiple entities while guiding the payroll team.

You will coordinate with People, Finance and Legal to ensure compliance, oversee vendor relationships, and drive scalable, accurate payroll processing with a strong customer service

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field.
• 10+ years in public company global payroll and payroll tax compliance.
• CPP designation is strongly preferred.
• Experience transforming payroll from manual to scalable.
• Experience setting up payroll requirements for new tax entities.
• Deep knowledge of domestic and international payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes the global payroll strategy for US and international payroll.
• Owns end-to-end payroll operations and tax compliance across regions.
• Oversees Time & Attendance system rules and multi-state/country compliance.
• Manages payroll vendors, billing, and budget, with finance partnership.
• Leads payroll tax audits and manages tax notices with SLAs.
• Drives process improvements and governance in payroll functions.
• Mentor and develop payroll team for operational excellence.
• Ensure SOX controls and governance across payroll activities.
