Job summary

Alteryx Inc. is seeking a Director of Global Payroll to lead the payroll delivery team across 15+ countries, driving accuracy, automation, and compliance.

You will partner with HR, Legal, and Technology to implement AI-enabled processes and optimize Workday HRIS, ADP Workforce Now, and Celergo integrations. You will report to the CFO and collaborate with the Transformation Office to expand capabilities, manage payroll entities, and ensure employee-centric payroll operations while maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, HR, Finance or related field.
• CPP designation preferred.
• 10+ years of payroll experience with 5+ years of leadership in a global company.
• Demonstrated experience with global expansion, payroll setup, and M&A integrations.
• Strong technical knowledge of global tax, reporting, and payroll compliance.
• Deep experience with ADP Workforce Now, Celergo and Workday HRIS.
• Demonstrated success leading payroll transformation initiatives, including intelligent automation, outsourcing, and AI adoption.
• Strong leadership with hands-on approach.
• Proven excellence in customer service, team development, and operational delivery.
• Experience driving change management and digital transformation in a global setting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing across 15+ countries.
• Partner with HR and Transformation Office to automate Workday-ADP integrations.
• Lead evaluation and adoption of AI and automation tools for payroll processing.
• Manage payroll setups for new entities and regional expansion (M&A).
• Foster innovation and excellence within the payroll team; drive automation and standardization.
• Provide prompt, friendly service to employees and resolve payroll issues, including AI-driven analyses.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing global payroll team.
• Present KPI metrics to CFO and executive leadership.
• Maintain strong internal controls and AI-assisted compliance checks.
• Oversee department structure and workload for efficiency.
• Monitor changes in global payroll legislation and update systems accordingly.
• Ensure timely filing of payroll returns and tax forms.
