Job summary

Alteryx is seeking a Director, Global Payroll to lead the worldwide payroll delivery team across multiple countries, partnering with HR, Finance, Legal, and Technology to ensure compliant and employee-centric payroll operations. Drive AI-enabled process innovation and automation to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Reporting to the VP, Finance Strategy & Operations, this role requires 10+ years in payroll with 5+ years in leadership within a global company, and a strong track record in M&A

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, HR, or Finance.
• CPP designation preferred.
• 10+ years payroll experience with 5+ years leadership in a global company.
• Experience with global expansion, payroll setup, and M&A integrations.
• Strong knowledge of global tax, reporting, and payroll compliance.
• Deep experience with ADP Workforce Now, Celergo and Workday HRIS.
• Proven success leading payroll transformation initiatives and AI adoption.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate payroll processing in 15+ countries per policy and laws.
• Enhance automation between Workday HRIS and ADP; streamline integrations.
• Lead the evaluation and adoption of AI tools for payroll efficiency.
• Manage payroll setup for new entities and regional expansion (M&A).
• Foster a culture of innovation, standardization, and process re-engineering.
• Provide prompt customer service and resolve payroll issues; apply AI root-cause analysis.
• Develop a high-performing global payroll team; mentor and coach.
• Report key KPI’s to CFO; maintain internal controls and compliance checks.
• Oversee department structure and workload for maximum efficiency.
• Monitor changes in global payroll legislation and update systems accordingly.
• Ensure timely filing of payroll returns and issue of W-2 equivalents.
