Doppel Inc. is seeking a hands‑on Payroll Accounting Manager to own U.S. and global payroll operations and to help build a scalable payroll function.

You will need deep payroll processing, journal entries, reconciliations, and tax compliance, with strong cross‑functional collaboration across Accounting, People Operations, Legal, FP&A, and external providers. The role sits in a fast‑moving startup environment where processes are continuously matured and documented to support global growth and

Qualifications

• Global and U.S. payroll operations knowledge and experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. payroll regulations, taxes, and multi‑state compliance.
• Payroll accounting knowledge, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Experience supporting month-end close, payroll reporting, and audits.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to drive process improvements in a fast‑growing startup.

Responsibilities

• Own accurate and timely U.S. and global payroll processing and related changes.
• Prepare payroll journal entries and support month‑end close.
• Reconcile payroll‑related balance sheet accounts and taxes.
• Coordinate with People Ops, Legal, FP&A, AP, and providers to ensure data quality.
• Support payroll tax compliance, year‑end reporting, and notices.
• Help establish international payroll setup as the company grows.
