Job summary

Perplexity is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to join our Finance and Accounting team. You will partner with the Payroll Manager to ensure US and international payroll is accurate, compliant, and timely as we scale through rapid hiring and global expansion.

This hands-on role requires strong payroll systems experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to bring structure to a fast-moving environment while collaborating with People Operations, Accounting, Tax, and Equity.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on payroll experience, including US multi-state payroll.
• Experience with international or contractor payroll is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of wage statement rules and state compliance.
• Expertise in payroll tax components and year-end processes.

Responsibilities

• US and international payroll processing and support.
• Global contractor payroll cycles.
• Reconcile deductions and employer matches prior to paychecks.
• Maintain audit-ready payroll documentation and year-end filings.
• Support equity and benefits payroll reporting.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries.
