Job summary

PayPal Inc. seeks a Head of Payment Operations to lead end-to-end payment and deposit operations for PayPal Bank (in formation).

You will oversee card acquiring settlement, ACH processing, retail and business deposits, loan funding, posting, reconciliation, dispute resolution, and risk controls. Reporting to the COO, you will design scalable processes, maintain regulatory compliance, and partner with regulators, networks, and risk management to deliver safe, compliant operations across the

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related discipline.
10+ years in a senior management or director-level leadership role with direct oversight of operational teams and first line control responsibilities.
Strong working knowledge of card network rules, NACHA operating rules, BSA/AML requirements, Regulation E and third-party risk management.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all payment and settlement operations for the Bank, including card acquiring settlement, ACH processing and deposit operations.
Oversee loan disbursement processing, repayment posting, ACH debit execution, and payment application controls.
Establish and maintain effective daily settlement, reconciliation, general ledger control, dispute and exception management processes.
Own first-line operational risk and control environment for payment and deposit activities, including procedures and escalation.
Ensure adherence to laws, regulations, network requirements and risk management expectations.
