Job summary

PayPal Inc. is seeking a Head of Payment Operations for PayPal Bank (in formation) to lead end-to-end payment operations across card acquiring, ACH, deposits, loans and settlement.

You will design scalable operational controls, drive governance, and oversee a large, cross‑functional team in a regulated banking environment. The role requires 10+ years of payment/financial services leadership, deep knowledge of card networks and NACHA rules, and strong risk management capabilities to ensure

Qualifications

• 10+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years in a senior management or Director-level leadership role with direct oversight of operational teams and first line control responsibilities.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in payment operations, banking operations, or financial services functions within a regulated financial institution.
• Strong working knowledge of card network rules (Visa, Mastercard), NACHA Operating Rules, BSA/AML operational requirements, Regulation E, and third‑party risk management expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all payment and settlement operations for the Bank, including card acquiring settlement, ACH processing, merchant settlement, FBO accounts, deposit operations and loan servicing.
• Oversee loan disbursement processing, repayment posting, ACH debit execution, and payment application controls with appropriate segregation of duties.
• Establish and maintain settlement, reconciliation, general ledger control, dispute and exception management processes.
• Own first-line operational risk and control environment for payment and deposit activities, with documented procedures and issue remediation.
