Dow Inc. is seeking a Patent Prosecution Paralegal to provide exclusive patent prosecution support within the Core Legal Practices – Patent team.

The role is on-site in Midland, Michigan, or Lake Jackson, Texas, handling domestic and international filings and related tasks with a focus on accuracy and timely action. You will collaborate with attorneys, clients, foreign counsel, and docketing teams, building capabilities across patent processes and driving continuous improvements in legal service

Qualificações

• Associate degree OR 2 years of paralegal, legal, intellectual property, docketing, or comparable deadline-driven experience.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship is available for this position.
• Experience supporting patent prosecution in a corporate legal department is a plus.
• Working knowledge of patent prosecution processes, terminology, documentation, and deadline requirements.
• Proficiency with legal, company, and vendor systems used for patent prosecution, docketing, document preparation, filing, and recordkeeping.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, review, and file U.S. patent applications, international PCT applications, office action responses, information disclosure statements, notices, formal documents, and other prosecution-related submissions.
• Coordinate domestic and foreign patent prosecution activities, including filing instructions and foreign communications.
• Monitor patent dockets and deadlines and coordinate with attorneys, clients, foreign counsel, vendors, and docketing teams to support timely action.
• Review and report patent office correspondence and communicate with clients regarding deadlines, instructions, signatures, annuity and maintenance matters.
• Organize documentation and maintain inventor information for invention evaluation.
• Maintain accurate patent and document management records.
• Develop and maintain policies, procedures, forms, best practices and tools to automate or track patent processes.
