Job summary

Abbott Laboratories is seeking a senior IT/OT architect to lead the convergence of manufacturing systems globally. You will define governance standards, enable real-time data visualization, and guide Front End Planning across multiple sites in the Abbott Nutrition network.

The role requires deep OT/IT experience, ISA familiarity, and strong communication with leadership. You’ll mentor teams, support continuous improvement, and travel up to 50% to align programs with corporate goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical experience with demonstrated competence.
• 10+ years of significant OT/IT engineering or related experience.
• Familiarity with ISA standards and manufacturing IT systems.
• Experience presenting to all levels of an organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT/OT convergence roadmap for global manufacturing and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
• Develop standards for governance of manufacturing asset structures and data collection.
• Create a global real-time data visualization and reporting strategy.
• Provide technical leadership on Front End Planning across multiple projects.
• Apply knowledge of hardware/software to design innovative manufacturing solutions.
• Communicate and justify solutions with senior leadership; mentor teammates.
• Support Abbott Nutrition’s global production network and pursue continuous improvements.
• Travel 25%–50% as required.
