Job summary

Yahoo Holdings Inc. is seeking a Global Opex Finance Manager to lead the planning and forecasting of global operating expenses, including personnel costs, headcount, T&E, and DST.

You will partner with business leaders to drive informed decisions and leverage AI-enabled tools to enhance efficiency. In this high-visibility role, you will manage the close process, provide insightful analysis, and develop scalable dashboards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, or related analytical business partnering role.
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills; experience building, maintaining, auditing, and improving complex financial models.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate metrics into insights.
• Experience supporting headcount planning, personnel cost forecasting, and operating expense management in a global organization.
• Experience partnering with business leaders and influencing decisions through data-driven analysis.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills across functions.
• Experience leveraging modern analytics, automation, or AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency.
• Experience building reporting solutions, dashboards, or data visualizations for visibility.
• Working knowledge of Oracle Hyperion Planning, Essbase, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end planning, forecasting, and ongoing management of global operating expense categories (personnel, headcount, T&E, DST).
• Serve as trusted finance partner to leaders, providing guidance, challenging assumptions, and identifying cost drivers.
• Drive monthly/quarterly close, accrual reviews, variance analysis, and discrepancy resolution.
• Deliver variance commentary and actionable financial insights on performance, risks, and opportunities.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to streamline analysis, reporting, and planning efficiency.
• Collaborate with data/reporting teams to automate reporting and create scalable dashboards.
• Coordinate global headcount planning with HR and business operations.
• Prepare and deliver business review presentations with performance drivers and recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and improve budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
