Job summary

Free People seeks a Lead for Operations to catalyze our process from product insights to post-consumer operations. You will lead the creation, execution and continuous improvement of the company's global operations calendar and processes, partnering across sourcing, product, design, merchandising, marketing and sales.

This role demands analytical depth, executive influence, and a passion for scalable, data-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in management consulting, sales, merchandising ops, strategy, or advisory.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives from design to execution.
• Experience in process evaluation and operating design.
• Understanding of apparel production or retail business.
• Strong negotiation, collaboration, and communication to influence across levels.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment at scale.
• Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred but not required.
• Foundational AI literacy and willingness to experiment with new tech.

Responsibilities

• Lead creation, evolution, and execution of the global operations calendar across teams.
• Define and drive product creation calendars for different lines and speeds.
• Oversee processes to ensure speed and efficiency to market.
• Collaborate on Go to Market process, calendar, and milestones.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, agility, and innovation.
• Develop tools for capacity planning across business units.
• Act as data and AI champion, driving analytics and automation.
• Design dashboards and performance metrics linked to objectives.
• Build executive-level materials summarizing process performance and opportunities.
