Job summary

AbbVie Inc. is seeking an Associate Director of Operations Communications to lead day-to-day planning and execution across Supply Chain and Quality communications, partnering with the Director to advance business priorities.

You will develop executive-level communications, content for internal and external channels, and manage agencies, while collaborating across the Global Operations Communications team in a complex, global organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of integrated communications experience, including at least five years in a complex corporate communications or agency environment.
• Bachelor's degree in communications, business, journalism, marketing, public relations or related field.
• Significant progressive experience in corporate communications, employee communications, executive communications or a related discipline.
• Experience with content management platforms and design tools, as well as working with external developers and vendors.
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing strategic communications programs that advance business priorities.
• Experience developing executive-level communications and working directly with senior leaders and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day communications planning and delivery in partnership with the Director, Global Operations Communications.
• Develop high-quality executive communications, including presentations, speeches, talking points, employee messages, organizational announcements, videos and other leadership communications.
• Develop content across internal and external Operations communications channels, including digital platforms, presentations, video, social media and other storytelling vehicles.
• Provide communications planning and execution support for broader Operations-wide priorities and initiatives, including employee meetings and leadership forums.
• Collaborate across the Global Operations Communications team and broader Corporate Communications organization to ensure alignment, share best practices and amplify Operations stories.
• Manage external agency and vendor support with clear direction and oversight.
• Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, with strong judgment and attention to quality.
• Use insights and metrics to strengthen communications approaches and improve effectiveness.
