Job summary

AbbVie Inc. is seeking a Manager of Operations for the AbbVie Community of Science. The role focuses on leading cross-functional projects, coordinating with finance, and driving strategic operational improvements in a global context.

You will manage teams, oversee budgets, and partner with senior leaders to shape program execution, process enhancements, and strategic design across R&D capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master of Science (BSc/MSc) or PhD in Science or Business-related Field.
• Experience in project management and cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of portfolio reviews, finance, and communications.
• General experience leading projects or teams.
• Experience supporting clinical research/drug development and/or regulatory operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective project management for AbbVie Community of Science initiatives and cross-functionally.
• Lead teams on special projects such as Hackathons, Innovation Challenge, Postdoc Summit, Celebration of Science.
• Build relationships with Finance, Project Office, and other functions to accomplish objectives across time zones.
• Support Project Management requests from Senior Leadership of R&D Capabilities.
• Assist with strategic design, tactical execution, and planning for global operations activities.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives.
• TrackActual expenses against plan and forecast budgets LBEs as required.
• Assist with planning and implementation of activities affecting finance and information.
