Job summary

AbbVie Inc. in Chicago is seeking an Associate Director, Operations Communications to partner with Supply Chain and Quality teams.

You will lead day-to-day planning, develop executive messages, and ensure alignment with enterprise priorities across internal and external channels. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong writing, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive cross-functional programs from strategy to delivery in a global setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of integrated communications experience.
• At least five years in a complex corporate communications or agency environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, journalism, marketing, public relations or related field.
• Experience with content management platforms and design tools, and working with external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic execution partner for Supply Chain and Quality communications and manage major workstreams.
• Develop high‑quality executive communications, including presentations, speeches and talking points.
• Create content across internal and external Operations channels, including digital, video and social media.
• Provide communications planning support for Operations priorities and leadership meetings.
• Collaborate across_Global Operations Communications to align and amplify stories.
• Manage external agency and vendor support with clear direction.
• Handle multiple complex projects with strong prioritization and quality.
• Use insights to continuously strengthen communications approaches.
