JAS in Chicago seeks an import specialist to process ocean import shipments, ensure compliance with customs and FDA requirements, and coordinate with Sales for quotes. You will handle bookings, entries, and documentation while maintaining data quality and timely communication with customers and vendors.

The role requires strong organization, detail orientation, and knowledge of U.S. customs rules and ISF/FPOA procedures.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years import experience or related education/experience.
• Knowledge of import entry procedures and ISF/FPOA preferred.
• FDA experience and OGA transactions knowledge a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Receive and track customer bookings and orders.
• Process Customs Entries and FDA related entries.
• Transmit information to ABI, verify results and correct as needed.
• Bill/invoice files and manage payables/receivables per guidelines.
• Coordinate entry and break bulk shipments; assist Sales with quotes.
• Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance with company policies.
