Job summary

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company USA, Inc. seeks a results-driven Sales professional to renew, retain, and grow volumes within the Houston territory. You will upsell, cross-sell, and attract new clients while coordinating meetings to promote our ocean transportation services.

In this role you will understand customer needs, craft tailored account plans, and leverage market insights to identify new opportunities. Strong CRM usage and an ability to meet sales targets are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of selling transportation services (preferably ocean transportation).
• Strong knowledge of the local market as well as industry trends.

Responsibilities

• Renew, retain, and grow volumes from all segments of business, in the assigned territory / product line.
• Upsell and cross sell and attract new customers.
• Arrange meetings with current and prospective clients to promote MSC services.
• Discover customer needs and put in place an account plan according to potential and needs.
• Develop market insights and identify new business opportunities.
• Maintain accurate CRM data and build reliable sales forecasts.
