Job summary

Nippon Express USA is seeking an Ocean Export Coordinator in Houston who can manage daily ocean export operations, documentation, bookings, pickup arrangements, and carrier communications with accuracy and a customer‑oriented approach.

You will coordinate shipments, track status, resolve scheduling issues, complete billing and invoicing activities, and maintain precise shipment records while working closely with customers, carriers, warehouses, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in ocean export, freight forwarding, logistics, or related field preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Comfortable working with carriers, warehouses, and internal teams.
• Basic knowledge of export documentation and billing procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily ocean export shipments, including documentation, bookings, and pickup arrangements.
• Communicate with customers, carriers, warehouses, and other service providers.
• Prepare and review export documentation.
• Track shipment status and help resolve scheduling or service issues.
• Complete billing and invoice-related activities.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and support ISO internal audits.
• Develop and maintain cooperative, respectful working relationships with all levels of staff.
• Perform special duties as assigned based on departmental needs, performance, and capabilities.
