Job summary

Vertiv Corporation seeks a Product Line Project Manager, Global Procurement to serve as the primary procurement contact for selected projects from concept through production readiness.

You will work with Engineering, Program Management, Quality and Operations to ensure sourcing strategies support project goals, manage NPDI gate reviews, and track costs, lead times and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain, supporting new product or engineering driven programs.
• Experience working closely with Engineering teams during early product development.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across functions without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Procurement representative for assigned projects from early concept through production readiness.
• Ensure procurement deliverables are planned, tracked, and executed in alignment with NPDI phase-gate requirements.
• Represent Procurement at NPDI gate reviews, providing visibility into sourcing maturity, gaps, and mitigations.
• Track and report key metrics such as cost, lead time, supplier performance, and launch readiness.
• Partner with Engineering, Program Management, Commodity Management, Quality, and Operations to align sourcing strategies with project objectives.
• Act as the primary escalation point for procurement risks impacting cost, schedule, or supply resilience.
• Engage with Engineering early to understand component requirements and with suppliers to assess capabilities and lead times.
• Send early RFQs/RFPs and drive competitive bidding to achieve cost targets.
• Facilitate collaboration to improve design for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and supply flexibility.
• Establish strong supplier partnerships to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
