Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a MV SWGR NPDI Project Manager to lead and execute product lifecycle activities for the Switchgear product line in the Americas. You will drive the NPDI framework, collaborate with a cross-functional team to create, develop, launch, and sunset products, and coordinate with Product Management on lifecycle decisions.

The role reports to the global director of product management for the SWGR PL, requiring strong skills in project management, finance alignment, and stakeholder

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or equivalent experience in product engineering, manufacturing or marketing in electrical apparatus.
• MBA beneficial but not required.
• Experience leading cross functional meetings and presenting to small groups, both in person and via digital conference calls.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Vertiv NPDI process for product development and phase out.
• Collaborate with MV SWGR Product Manager to develop product requirements based on data center and industrial markets.
• Define feature specifications, cost targets and delivery timelines with stakeholders.
• Assist Marketing Communications to create literature and promotional material for launch and support.
• Oversee prototype samples with operations to ensure timely delivery for tests and launch.
• Coordinate with sales, pricing and finance to ensure financial success of the project.
• Report progress to executives and align with other projects in the Vertiv portfolio.
• Ensure data loading to Oracle, PD Cloud and configuration systems.
• Partner with Advanced Manufacturing Engineers to ensure manufacturability and CAPEX considerations.
