Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Product Development Manager in the United States to lead a team of Technical Project Leads and Product Engineers responsible for NPDI programs and technical customer support within the Power Switching & Distribution business.

You will align engineering execution with the multi-year roadmap, collaborate with Product Management, Procurement, Quality, Operations, PMO, and Service to deliver reliable power solutions for critical infrastructure, with up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Electrical preferred).
10+ years of progressive engineering experience with 3+ years in a people leadership role.
Experience managing engineers across product development and sustainment.
Experience with geographically distributed teams, including international centers.
Proven track record delivering products on time and to spec.
Strong written and verbal communication for executive audiences.
Experience with Agile in a hardware environment.
MS Office suite, Power BI, Smartsheet and related tools.
Up to 10% travel.

Responsibilities

Lead NPDI projects from requirements through design, validation, industrialization and market launch.
Drive rigorous requirements development, work breakdown and Agile planning across teams.
Resolve cross-discipline trade-offs and root-cause issues across power systems.
Translate technical plans into concise executive summaries.
Maintain high-quality documentation: specs, manuals, drawings, notes.
