Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field or its equivalent.
• Experience with Datacenter operations and protocols, network technologies, Security concepts, Unix/Linux internals, distributed systems, and systems design.
• Possess solid organizational skills with proven experience in scheduling and operational planning.
• Demonstrate an ability to work efficiently under strict time constraints, adhering to all procedural guidelines.
• Be willing to travel up to 60% domestically within the U.S.
• Be required to undergo or possess and maintain a successfully adjudicated USG Tier 3 background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Partner across teams to ensure the reliability, scalability and usability of our products and services.
• Traveling regularly to datacenters to receive, deliver, install, and maintain hardware assets, ensuring optimal functionality and compliance with standards.
• Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and monitoring network connectivity issues at Layer 1, 2 and 3.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams during execution to provide end-to-end support for deployment projects, network installations, and maintenance.
• Working closely with field technicians, ISPs and Akamai partners, and 3rd party client vendors for installation, maintenance, and fulfillment of Akamai Network Infrastructure.
• Monitoring, triage, and resolution of incoming maintenance tickets, ensuring adherence to SLA targets.
• Maintaining and exceeding high SLA targets, ensuring robust system uptime and performance.
• Lifting at least 50 pounds of equipment.
