Job summary

Google in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Network Implementation Engineer for Network Delivery Implementation to drive deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks globally. You will collaborate with Technical Program Managers, Network Engineers, Design and Infrastructure Engineers, field engineers, and contractors to position the team for success, building the world’s most reliable and scalable network.

US: $126000 - $180000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering or Telecom Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience in DWDM or TCP/IP or system design operations methodology.
• Experience coordinating with field operation technicians, engineers, contractors, or vendors in a telecom environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate Google's network reliably and at scale.
• Execute deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks worldwide.
• Develop creative approaches and collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep operational costs low.
• Monitor the network and repair issues while anticipating needs and escalating issues.
• Own network documentation, update and maintain network designs and plans.
