Job summary

Google seeks a Network Implementation Engineer to lead deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks worldwide. You will partner with Technical Program Managers, Network Engineers, and field vendors to position the team for success and deliver reliable, scalable connectivity globally.

Your work accelerates positive business outcomes for Google and its users, driving efficient operations, asset management, and continuous improvement across all network layers and data centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in network/telecom engineering.
• 2 years of experience in DWDM or TCP/IP or system design operations methodology.
• Experience working with field operation technicians, engineers, contractors, or vendors in a telecommunications environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate Google's network reliably and at scale.
• Execute deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks worldwide.
• Develop creative approaches and collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep operational costs low.
• Monitor the network and repair issues while anticipating needs and escalating issues.
• Own network documentation, update and maintain network designs and plans.
