Job summary

Google's Network Implementation Engineer will lead deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks worldwide. You will work with Technical Program Managers, Network Engineers, and field personnel to position your team for success.

Google's network team owns life cycle of space, power, and network assets in data centers and metro points of presence, from site acquisition to installation, activation, and commissioning, aiming for reliable, scalable networks for users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in network/telecom engineering or related field.
• 2 years of experience in DWDM or TCP/IP or systems design operations methodology.
• Experience collaborating with field operation technicians, engineers, contractors, or vendors in a telecom environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate Google's network reliably and at scale.
• Execute deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks worldwide.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep costs low.
• Monitor network performance and escalate issues as needed.
• Maintain network design documentation and plans.
