Job summary

Google is seeking a Network Implementation Engineer to lead deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks worldwide. You will collaborate with Technical Program Managers, Network Engineers, Design and Infrastructure Engineers, Field Engineers, and vendors to position teams for success.

Your role focuses on building the world’s most reliable, scalable network to support Google’s global users, with responsibility from site acquisition to construction and ongoing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related technical field.
• 2 years of experience in DWDM or TCP/IP or system design operations methodology.
• Experience coordinating with field operation technicians, engineers, contractors, or vendors in a telecommunications environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate Google's network reliably and at scale.
• Execute deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks worldwide.
• Develop approaches and collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize operational costs.
• Monitor the network and address issues while anticipating needs and escalating where necessary.
• Own network documentation and maintain network designs and plans.
