Job summary

Google is seeking a Network Implementation Engineer to lead deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks worldwide. You will collaborate with Technical Program Managers, Network Engineers, Design and Infrastructure Engineers, Field Engineers and vendors to position your team for success.

You will drive faster, more reliable outcomes and help build the world’s most scalable network to support our customers and users globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a network/telecom field.
• 3 years of experience in DWDM, TCP/IP or system design operations.
• Experience collaborating with field technicians, engineers, contractors or vendors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee QA of installation technicians for rack, stack and installation of networking equipment.
• Test routers, optical transport equipment, and other network devices across Google's global network.
• Generate implementation plans and provide technical leadership during deployments.
• Collaborate with PMs and engineers to anticipate problems in installations including power, cooling and cabling.
• Own network documentation and maintain drawings and plans.
