Google Inc. is seeking a Network Implementation Engineer in Reston to lead deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks worldwide. You will collaborate with Technical Program Managers, Network Engineers, and field teams to position teams for success and deliver a reliable, scalable network for users globally.

The role emphasizes building cost-effective solutions, documenting designs, and driving improvements across the network lifecycle, from architecture to commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Telecom Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in DWDM, TCP/IP, or system design operations.
• Experience working with field operation technicians, engineers, contractors, or vendors in telecom environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate Google's private data networks at scale across global locations.
• Execute deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks worldwide.
• Collaborate with Technical Program Managers, Network Engineers, Design and Infrastructure Engineers, and field teams.
• Identify cost-saving approaches and drive cross-functional optimization.
• Maintain network documentation and update designs and plans.
