Emerson is seeking a Segment Marketing Director for Motion Control to lead global marketing strategy across industries such as machine builders, electronics, packaging, automotive and medical automation. You will shape growth, guide go-to-market plans, and partner with Sales, Product, Engineering and Marketing Communications.

You will build market intelligence, define KPIs, and develop the Motion Control Segment Marketing team, delivering measurable growth and a strong, differentiated portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• Leadership experience commensurate with seniority level.
• Experience developing market strategies and translating insights into growth.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the segment marketing strategy for the global Motion Control business, identifying attractive industries, applications, technologies, and growth opportunities.
• Build a robust market intelligence capability, including market sizing, segmentation, customer insights, competitive analysis, and trends.
• Lead market and growth inputs into SBU strategic planning, informing priorities and investments.
• Lead go-to-market strategies for new product launches and strategic growth programs.
• Guide positioning, messaging, and pricing strategies to differentiate the portfolio.
• Partner with Product Management and Engineering to translate market needs into future opportunities.
• Partner with Sales and Marketing Communications on engagement, demand generation, and training strategies.
• Identify whitespace and adjacent markets, and explore partnerships or acquisitions.
• Establish KPIs and operating rhythms to measure impact and adjust actions based on results.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Motion Control Segment Marketing team.
