Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking a Global Mobility Manager to oversee relocation for candidates and employees across the Americas. You will serve as the primary contact, explaining complex tax and immigration scenarios and partnering with immigration firms and vendors to ensure policy compliance.

This role requires at least 5 years of global mobility experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a dynamic, global team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of global mobility experience with focus on the Americas.
• Familiarity with US residential real estate purchase process; Buyer Value Option transactions a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of mobility processes including tax, immigration, payroll, home sale and home purchase in the Americas.
• Excellent learning agility and emotional intelligence; empathetic to situations not directly experienced.
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to translate mobility concepts with strong customer service.
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to multitask in a high-paced environment.
• Experience working on a global team and adapting to change, shifting priorities and ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise and manage day-to-day US relocation cases in partnership with Relocation Management Company.
• Act as a single point of contact to employees throughout the mobility process.
• Explain complex relocation scenarios, including tax and immigration factors, and provide practical solutions.
• Support immigration case life-cycle management for foreign national employees with immigration firm.
• Guide HR partners, Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to interpret policy and options.
• Partner with global and local vendors, monitor performance and ensure policy compliance.
• Assist with special projects as needed.

Job description

The Global Mobility Manager manages all aspects of candidate and employee relocation both domestic and permanent moves within the Americas. Anticipating employee needs and dedicated to delivering an exceptional experience, the Mobility Manager will take initiative to solve problems independently, exercising discretion within guidelines and evolving industry standards. This is an exciting and demanding role that requires passion and the desire to be a team player on an amazing team.

Specific Job Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise and manage day-to-day US relocation cases in partnership with Relocation Management Company on mobility within the Americas
• Act as a single point of contact to employees throughout the mobility process
• Articulate complex relocation scenarios including tax and immigration factors and provide practical, simplified solutions for the employee and/or business
• In partnership with our immigration firm, support immigration case life-cycle management for foreign national employees. This includes working closely with foreign national candidates, employees, and internal stakeholders to provide guidance, support escalations and day to day program management support.
• Provide guidance and support to HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to interpret policy, provide options and recommend solutions
• Partner with global and local vendors, monitor performance and ensure compliance with Gilead policy and local laws and regulations
• Assist with special projects as needed

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience Global Mobility experience with a focus on the Americas
• Familiarity with US residential real estate purchase process; knowledge of Buyer Value Option transactions a plus
• In depth knowledge of mobility processes including tax services, immigration, payroll, home sale, home purchase in the Americas regions
• Excellent learning agility and emotional intelligence, able to be empathetic to situations you may have never directly experienced
• Exceptional communication skills and an above average ability to translate mobility concepts to others, with impeccable customer service skills, positive attitude in challenging situations
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and multi-task in a high paced environment
