Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking an Executive Director, Global MEG Operations to lead the operational model for Medical Evidence Generation across the full portfolio, including oncology, hematology, immunology, cardiovascular disease, and neuroscience. You will architect and scale a ground‑up organization, ensure governance and regulatory compliance, and partner with HR to close talent gaps.

Qualifications

• Educational background degree in a relevant field (e.g., Life Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, Clinical Research, or related discipline).
• Industry experience minimum of 12+ years in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry with substantial experience across drug development and medical/clinical study operations.
• 3–5 years in an ED-equivalent or enterprise leadership role with accountability for building and scaling operational organizations.
• Operational model expertise demonstrated in building fit-for-purpose models within large global organizations.
• Study operations and regulatory/compliance expertise with knowledge of global frameworks (GCP, ICH) and country-specific requirements.
• Cross-portfolio scope experience operating at global level across therapeutic areas.
• Communication and influence skills across functions and levels.

Responsibilities

• Design organizational architecture and accountability models for MEG Operations.
• Define enterprise-wide operational strategy for medical study execution across the full portfolio.
• Architect a medical-specific operations framework distinct from drug development.
• Design adaptable frameworks for interventional, observational, and externally sponsored studies.
• Identify talent gaps and partner with HR to address resource needs.
• Ensure scalable models that adapt to evolving portfolio priorities.
• Establish governance frameworks ensuring compliance with global and local regulations.
• Oversee MEG study operations lifecycle from budgeting to closeout.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks and manage CRO/vendor partnerships.
• Represent MEG Operations in enterprise leadership discussions and set strategic direction.
• Drive innovation, digital tools adoption, and continuous process improvements.
