Takeda is seeking an Associate Director, Global Medical Communications & Publication Lead to develop and execute an integrated scientific communications plan for assigned assets, aligning with the medical strategy and evidence-generation plans. You will ensure data are translated into accurate, compliant communications across formats and channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life science or healthcare is required; advanced degree preferred (e.g., MSc, PharmD, PhD or MD).
• 3–5+ years in medical communications and/or publications within a global matrix environment; experience across both preferred.
• Knowledge of drug development, clinical data interpretation, evidence generation and medical strategy.
• Solid knowledge of medical review and regulatory/legal guidance for medical communications and of good publication practice and reporting guidelines (ICMJE); CMPP certification a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without authority.
• Experience applying AI-enabled tools and digital technologies in scientific communications.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute the integrated scientific communications plan for assigned asset(s).
• Lead development and maintenance of SCPs, lexicons, core slide decks and FAQs; deliver the global publication plan (abstracts, manuscripts, congress presentations, plain language summaries).
• Plan and execute congress and medical education activities for assigned asset(s).
• Lead cross-functional planning with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Biostatistics, evidence generation, regional/local teams and external authors.
• Provide medical review of promotional and non-promotional materials with Legal and Regulatory to ensure compliant communication.
• Ensure publications adhere to SOPs, GPP, ICMJE and reporting guidelines, with appropriate authorship and disclosure.
• Prepare briefs and source packages for GCC and Medical Content Factory; identify reuse opportunities.
• Pilot and apply AI-enabled tools and digital channels to improve planning, content development, visualization and review.
• Track KPIs and integrate insights into plan updates.
• Manage budget, forecasts, timelines and vendors for assigned asset(s).
• Provide matrix leadership, coaching or mentoring to managers, fellows and contributors.
