Job summary

BW Converting is seeking a Global Platform Commodity Leader: Mechanical to develop and execute the mechanical commodity strategy across BW Converting sites. You will leverage global spend, establish supplier strategies, and drive cost and supply improvements with cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities include leading supplier selection, negotiations, and performance reviews, while coordinating with Finance, Engineering, and site procurement teams to optimize total cost of ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Progressive experience in strategic sourcing and supplier management.
• Experience sourcing mechanical components and industrial products.
• Experience negotiating across multiple locations or business units.
• Proven cost-reduction using total-cost-of-ownership.
• Global/matrix manufacturing experience preferred.
• Lean/Six Sigma certification beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a global mechanical commodity strategy for BW Converting.
• Create category roadmaps addressing supplier segmentation and capacity.
• Analyze platform-wide spend to identify cross-site opportunities.
• Lead supplier selection, development, and performance reviews.
• Negotiate long-term agreements, pricing, and terms with suppliers.
• Provide commodity-market outlooks and budget inputs to Finance.
• Partner with site Buyers and Engineers to ensure local execution and alignment.
