Job description

As GMD, you translate our science into commercial success throughout the product lifecycle by ensuring you drive competitive product profiles and build long-term brand value through working in partnership with the cross-functional medicines development team.

You will lead the development of insight-driven global product strategies and plans, deliver ambitious long-range forecasts, enable outstanding launches, and ensure excellent customer experience in partnership with co-create markets through creating omnichannel content.

In this role, you’ll develop and strive to be best in industry across key Global Strategy and Enterprise Leadership Capabilities. Within GSK’s Pharmaceuticals business, as Global Marketing Directors (GMD), you are expected to generate long-term value for GSK and ultimately improve the lives of patients around the world.

You will produce insightful, clear, and competitive global brand strategies and plans, enable outstanding launches, and focus on implementation in partnership with co-create markets.

You will be responsible for:

  1. Drive and manage the business
  2. Develop brand strategy and deliver launch/brand plan in accordance with the Integrated Asset Plan (IAP) across customer segments including Patient, HCP, and Payer, in partnership with key cross-functional partners and LOCs.
  3. Understand, value, and prioritize sources of differentiation by leveraging cross-functional insights, elucidating implications of emerging data and competitive launches.
  4. Develop strategic choices (positioning, segmentation, targeting, etc.) and promotional strategies for the asset.
  5. Partner with Insights to deliver a global forecast aligned to strategy, generating recommended assumptions and strategic input.
  6. Elucidate required SG&A and commercial model to optimize asset performance in global markets.
  7. Lead lifecycle management strategy to drive additional value, launch sequence strategy, and optimize approaches to market.
  8. Lead RFP/Pitch and agency selection for the brand’s Agency of Record (AOR). Manage agency onboarding and key projects related to global brand development.
  9. Drive LOC engagement strategy and manage the global commercial budget and operational planning inputs.
  10. Foster a culture of trust, respect, transparency, and accountability.

Managing Corporate Reputation & Building Trust

  1. Build strong cross-business unit/functional relationships to maximize synergies and ensure unified, trusted external representation.
  2. Shape the external environment in line with LOC strategy.

Why You?

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry in oncology
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the US market
  • Availability for 2-3 days a week in the office

Preferred Experience:

  • Senior marketing experience in the US market with multiple launch experiences
  • Recent launch experience at global/regional or LOC level, working across global to local markets
  • Experience developing brand imagery, insights, segmentation, campaigns, and co-create experiences
  • Experience managing medicines at different lifecycle stages, R&D collaboration, or late-stage assets
