Job summary

Covaris, a PerkinElmer Company, in Woburn, MA, seeks a Marketing Director to drive global marketing for molecular biology instruments and consumables. The role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution across product management, branding, digital marketing, and field activities.

Reporting to the VP of Business Development, Marketing & Product Management, you will shape development priorities, lead cross-functional teams, and collaborate with our European office to accelerate biotech

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in life or physical sciences required; advanced degrees preferred.
5+ years of progressive leadership in marketing.
8–10 years launching and leading a brand in biotech.
Experience in marketing for instruments, automation, and consumables.
Strong ability to translate data into actionable plans across genomics, epigenetics, proteomics.
Knowledge of molecular biology; NGS/proteomics a plus.
Salesforce experience is a plus.
Willing to travel up to 15% domestically.

Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth market research to identify needs and customer segments.
Develop and execute a global marketing strategy aligned with Covaris' objectives and revenue targets.
Define customer segmentation and branding across geographies and segments.
Lead product launch messaging and develop robust value propositions.
Drive digital marketing including websites, SEO, social media, and webinars.
Represent Covaris at conferences, trade shows, and scientific meetings.
Support marketing for regulated clinical and diagnostic markets, including regulatory considerations.
